MC 俄羅斯子公司慶祝成立20週年
2020/04/10
Throughout this year, MC Russia has been very much focused on its 20th anniversary, organising numerous activities to celebrate the occasion – from customer events and gala dinners for its employees to charity collections and video competitions.
Indeed, on 21 April 2016, the actual date of the establishment of MC Russia 20 years ago, there was a celebration to which all the company‘s employees were invited, culminating with the festive inauguration of the MC production plant in Samara. A “Thanks for 20 Years” programme began in August on the occasion of the Russian “Construction Industry Conference”, at which 50 customers and business partners expressed words of gratitude for the support and collaboration they have enjoyed with MC. A competition arranged for the employees’ children in which they filmed video greetings directed to the company was particularly touching.
Each child received a gift and an honorary certificate marking their participation. As part of the “20 Good Deeds” programme, activities – including charity breakfasts prepared in the offices of employees – were held with the aim of collecting donations for the local children’s homes. MC also donated money to improve the local children’s playgrounds. In all the regions in which MC is represented, gala dinners were organised for the employees. Dr.-Ing. Claus-Michael Müller, Managing Partner of MC-Bauchemie Müller GmbH & Co. KG, and Hubert Perrin de Brichambaut, Regional Manager at MC and responsible for Russia, also participated in the Moscow celebrations.
Successful development
“Over the past years, we have grown continuously and recently opened new production sites in Samara and Tyumen to be closer to our customers in this huge country," says Dr. Claus-Michael Müller. As a result, the sales network has been further expanded and a platform created for the further growth of MC Russia. "We are proud of what we have achieved and also look forward with confidence to what the future holds," states Dr. Müller, adding, "I am convinced that this successful development will continue in the coming years."
MC’s history in Russia
MC’s history in Russia goes back to 1996 when the company “MEGA” was established in St Petersburg. It produced construction materials, initially working out of a small building and a garage. With production expanding, the company changed its name to “OTLI” (part of the Russian word “OTLIchno” = “exceptional”) in 1998 as part of a successful campaign to increase brand awareness. In 2001, the company became MC-Bauchemie Russia, an enterprise that has since enjoyed rapid growth and that today, with its approx. 350 employees, boasts not only its headquarters and operations in St Petersburg but also four other sites in Russia – Krasnodar, Moscow, Samara and Tjumen – where building chemical products are manufactured and successfully sold throughout many regions.
